All this Corona Virus talk has really put our country in a frenzy, stocking up on the toilet paper (?!?), all the hand sanitizer, and buying all the food, it seems like we are bulking up for Y2K again. All of this is not to sound insensitive, because I know there are people who have died and who are sick from this coronavirus but let’s just make sure we are washing our hands and staying home when we are sick -and till our symptoms are gone.
With schools closing for weeks (some a full month) we are finding ourselves indoors and home more than usual. This leaves us trying to figure out ways to fill our days and keep from hearing everyone say *I’m BORED* 500 times.
Before I send you to all the stores, you can also check out these posts where I share hundreds of ideas on ways to keep your kids busy, and you might even have some of these things at home.

Modeling Clay: Have your kids make a cute jewelry holder, or a scary dinosaur one day and then have them paint it the next.
Perler Beads: Make fun creations with animal shapes or have your kids practice making patterns with them.
Wikki Stix: We love making pictures out of these, but they are also good for learning letters, numbers, and shapes. They are also perfect for taking on trips.
Kinetic Sand: This can get messy, but it’s something fun to play with as a family.
Paint: Paint pictures, paint your clay, paint rocks, paint birdhouses, paint paper plates, we love painting over here. You can also use q-tips if you don’t have paintbrushes.
Paint Rocks: We purchased this rock painting collection last summer and still have some of the decals that we are using to paint other rocks. It’s a fun kit to use and my 5-year-old has a blast every time.
Jewelry Making: We love making jewelry and giving it to friends. My girls love making necklaces and bracelets.
Stickers and Coloring: These are fun because they are completely reusable (except the last link). We like to take some of them to church to keep the girls busy.
Bubbles and Outside Play: We love playing outside in our backyard, and these are some of the things the girls go crazy for. Plus, you’ll be able to use these all summer long.
Learning: We love learning at our house and we love finding fun ways to do it.
Books to Read: I love taking time each day to read books, these are just a few of the boos we like, you can find more of our favorite books through these links.
