Do your kids love playdoh? My girls love playing with playdoh and they always have a blast when we make it. In some of the playdoh kits we’ve had the playdoh has left our hands sticky, and salty, but this playdoh that we make doesn’t do any of that. Our hands weren’t stained a color, we had no mess, and it was soft and fun to play with.
Here is our favorite playdoh recipe, it stays soft and not salty, and you can store it in a Ziploc baggie in your closet/pantry/wherever you want to keep it.
Ingredients
- 4 cups of flour
- 2 cups of salt
- 2 tablespoons of cream of tarter
- 4 cups of water
- 1/2 cup of oil
- Essential Oil Scent – If you are wanting to make scented playdoh
Directions
- Combine ingredients in a large cooking pot. (If you choose to add a scent add it here)
- Mix well over medium heat till playdoh comes together.
- Put new playdoh on a floured surface and mix well -don’t add too much flour
- If you are making your playdoh into multiple colors place playdoh balls into plastic Ziploc baggies and add 5 drops of your color to the baggie, zip the baggie up, and mix it.
