Family Room Reveal

Couch, Rug (on Sale), Picture Frames, Plant, Tv Stand, Toy Chest.

I cannot tell you how long I’ve waited to type those words… Family Room Reveal. It feels like such a big deal for me. A family room, that’s mine, and I don’t even have to ask permission to paint the walls?! It’s all such a wonderful feeling having a house of our own. And I love how simple and free that feels… even if we’ll be paying the bank till we’re gray -okay, not really, but you get it.

Anyways, it’s taken almost three months for this thing to come together, but really, there wasn’t a huge rush because I wanted to make sure I was going to love it -like really love it. Like, when I woke up in the morning I would be proud to step onto the couch and open the blinds, or while vacuuming the rug I’d be able to do it with a smile because it was something I took pride in. And I do, I truly, truly, do.  Heck, I love to mop now!! I mean, who even am I??

Frames purchased here, and the pictures were printed at Walmart -real classy I know.

This gallery wall is something that I’ve been testing for quite a while… if you follow me on Instagram you’d totally know… Should I hang the pictures portrait or horizontal? And should the pictures be printed in black-and-white, or color? But, wait, do I have enough horizontal pictures to use? It was all so back and forth but I’m really happy with what we came up with. And shout out to Brand for hanging them so perfectly! *raise the roof emoji*

Our couch is from Living Spaces as well as our tv stand. I love them both and highly recommend living spaces because they can custom order your couch to the fabric you want annnnd you can pick coordinating pillows.

Our plants are from Home Depot and a local plant seller, I really love the color they bring to the room and I really feel like that spot was made for the fiddle leaf fig.

Baskets and toy chest came from Home Goods and AtHome, and the rug is from Wayfair -and it’s on sale.
