Summer has officially begun. Everyone is at the pool, soaking up the sun, catching those rays, living the summer life. One of my favorite things about summer is the food. Barbeques in the backyard, watermelon, and s/mores! Delicious-chocolatey-s’mores.
In Arizona the summer is ridiculous, you’re crazy if you think you’re about to start a campfire in your backyard because it already feels like fire outside. So, we have to get a little bit creative over here when we make s’mores.
I’ve used a microwave (put your marshmallow in there for 8 seconds and it’s perfectly melty), and I’ve baked them. And baking them is far more fun, and pretty delicious too. So, we wanted to share with you how we like to make s’mores in Arizona, when it’s already 350 degrees outside (just kidding, but really…).
Ingredients
Graham Crackers
Mini Marshmallows
Chocolate Chips
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Line baking sheet with graham crackers.
- Place marshmallows and chocolate chips on top of graham crackers. (you’ll want more chocolate chips than we have shown in this picture.)
- Place baking sheet in the oven for 5-10 minutes (our oven took about 8 minutes to melt our chocolate.)
- Once your s’mores are to your liking remove them from the oven and let them cool before eating.
