I’ve been making this banana bread since last summer and it’s become a staple in our home. The kind of staple that tells my husband, “don’t touch the soon to be ripe bananas because she’s making banana bread with them.”

So, let me share with you our favorite banana bread recipe, that will one day remind you of the good ole days and bring you back.
You’ll Need:
1/2 cup of butter (1 stick)
3/4 cup white sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup sour cream or greek yogurt (we use sour cream)
2 overripe bananas
1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease bread pan.
- Add softened butter and sugar to a mixing bowl and mix well.
- Add eggs and vanilla to mixing bowl, mix well.
- In separate bowl combine flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to mixing bowl.
- Add mashed bananas and sour cream to the mixing bowl. Mix well.
- Add chocolate chips.
- Pour batter into your greased bread pan and place in warm oven.
- Bake for 50-55 minutes.
