Friday we started a new after Valentine’s Day tradition, We Love Our Family Day. It was fun and exciting for Hazel because we basically did all the things she likes to do in one day. We got donuts, played board games, played hide-n-go-seek, did crafts, and had a pizza picnic and watched her favorite movie. Which currently is The Greatest Showman. It was fun to spend time together and make each other a priority.
Saturday Brandon had work and was able to get us in for some check-ups. Unfortunately for Hazel, it wasn’t such a great time, she ended up needing some major work done. Long story short she had to go to a pediatric dentist on Monday and had a ton of work done. Hearing Brandon talk about all the problems she has in her mouth makes me feel like a horrible mom. WE BRUSH AND FLOSS HER TEETH EVERY DAY. I’m not kidding. I cannot imagine what her teeth would look like if we didn’t, I mean, I can imagine, she probably wouldn’t have any teeth. Anyways, I just want to say to all you moms out there that brush your kid’s teeth but they still have cavities… I’m RIGHT there with you, I get it!
We played at the park on Saturday evening all by ourselves, which was kind of nice. The weather is getting really cold again, which is kind of fun because I really enjoy wearing these warm clothes and snuggling up under blankets.
These last few weeks Hanna has become quite brave. She likes to climb up on this step stool, and just yesterday she climbed up Hazel’s slide. She isn’t afraid of anything and is so eager to be doing what everyone else is doing. And I hope it’s a phase that ends before she has friends.
I am loving all these new things she is doing lately. Just today I was sitting and watching her play thinking how my favorite age has got to be 12-24 months. It’s the best, so much learning, so much talking, even more things happen at this age and it’s really fun for me.
Another new thing she likes to do is say “Ma-ma- Ma-ma” whenever she needs me to help her do something. I LOVE IT!!! She’ll come over to me, reach for my hand and say “Ma-ma Ma-ma”. Don’t ever grow up Hanna!
She’s also welcomed the dramatic phase, which is really kind of cute because her sad face is allll the heart eyes! Or when she throws her body back in anger, you KNOW you’ve made her mad. haha!!
These are the days, aren’t they?! I love them more and more as I realize it.
