DAY 1
Activity: Make the letter P with Play Foam.
Learning Activity Book: Learn to Write Your Letters
Song: The letter P by Patty Shukla.
Book to Read: Too Many Pumpkins – we love this book so much that I completely recommend purchasing it!
Craft: Find an easy craft from your local craft store that has pumpkins in it. We usually find something easy from Hobby Lobby, Michael’s, or Joann’s
Active Play: hereEver since I received these flashcards from Kindergarten Tool Kit I’ve been looking for every way to incorporate them into our daily learning. For this part, I taught Hazel about word families and how some words end in the same letters. She really enjoyed it and was even more thrilled that she could read the words. We got this flash card set and are absolutely loving them!
DAY 2
Activity: Make the letter P with Play Foam.
Learning Activity Book: The letter P activity sheet
Song: The letter P by Patty Shukla.
Book to Read: How Many Seeed in a Pumpkin?
Craft: Find black colored paper and draw a few pumpkins on it, each different sizes. Take an orange colored piece of paper and rip it into small pieces. Have your child glue the ripped paper to the pumpkin.
Active Play: If you’ve purchased a pumpkin at the store go check it out. See how many lines it has on it, if it’s a darker color, make a guess at how many pumpkin seeds it will have in it.
Don’t forget to add the flashcards in there!
DAY 3
Activity: Make the letter S with Play Foam.
Learning Activity Book: Highlights activity book for preschoolers.
Song: The letter P by Patty Shukla.
Book to Read: The Biggest Pumpkin Ever
Craft: Do another holiday craft from the craft store.
Active Play: Write the letter P on construction paper. Find stickers with pumpkins (we used Halloween stickers). Have your child go over the letter P with the stickers you give them.
Try the flashcards again, I bet they get them no problem!
