Day 1
Activity: Create the letter A with Play Foam
Learning Activity Book: Teach how to write both upper and lower case A.
Song: The letter A by Patty Shukla.
Book to Read: The Lady with the Alligator Purse
Craft: Make an alligator out of the letter A.
Active Play: Letter Hunt. Write the letters A, B, and P on different pieces of paper. Then hide the pieces in one room of your house, have your child find one specified letter at a time. Once they’ve found them all they win!
Day 2
Activity: Create the letter A with Playdoh
Learning Activity Book: Alphabet worksheet. I really enjoy using these worksheets.
Song: The letter A by Patty Shukla.
Book to Read: How to Make an Apple Pie and See the World
Craft: Use dot markers to fill in this apple.
Active Play: Bake Apple Pie. This can be as easy as buying all of it premade and just putting the apple pie filling in. Or you could do it all homemade.
Day 3
Activity: Put different letter A’s into a box of beans and have your toddler scoop them out.
Learning Activity Book: Revisit writing upper case and lower case A.
Song: The letter A by Patty Shukla.
Book to Read: Hooray for Amanda and Her Alligator
Craft: Cut out an upper case and lower case letter A. Stick it to contact paper. Have your child paint over the contact paper. Watch them notice that the paint doesn’t stick to the contact paper.
Active Play: Take things/toys from your house that begin with the letter A. Play store with your child and have them name each item and tell you what letter they start with.
