We start every homeschool preschool day pointing to and reciting the ABC’s. Hazel loves this part because she gets to use the pointer finger to point to each letter. After we recite the alphabet we go over our Today chart. From there we start our activities and it goes pretty smoothly.
Day 1
Activity: Create the letter B with Play Foam
Learning Activity Book: Teach how to write both upper and lower case B.
Song: The letter B by Patty Shukla. We love Ms. Patty’s videos, she teaches you the sound the letter makes, what things start with B, and how to say those things in sign language.
Book to Read: The Red Boat
Craft: We made a red boat out of a paper plate and red paper.
Active Play: Play and bake with pretend food.
Day 2
Activity: Create the letter B with Playdoh
Learning Activity Book: Play with the Learn to Write Your Letters book
Song: The letter B by Patty Shukla.
Book to Read: The Very Hungry Catapillar
Craft: Create a butterfly out of the letter B
Active Play: Blow bubbles if weather permits, if not, play with balloons.
Day 3
Activity: Play with Beans in a box. Hide bugs, or bears in a box of beans and have them find all the beans, then count them to see how many they found.
Learning Activity Book: Review how to write upper case B and lower case b.
Song: The letter B by Patty Shukla.
Book to Read: A Bug, A Bear, and a Boy
Craft: Make a Bear Mask by using a paper plate, paint, construction paper, and a popsicle stick.
Active Play: Bake something they love, brownies, banana bread, etc.
