As a mom, it’s hard to find time to strengthen our minds. And by that I mean, it’s hard for us to be continually learning new things, the way we did when we were in school.
I’ve found myself at a loss for words these past few months, and my mind and memory seem to be paying for all this lack of sleep. So, I’ve been searching for ways to strengthen my mind after the girls go down for bed. Just some easy, at home things that I can use daily to get my mind working and thinking the way it has before. Some of my favorite things are just simple and easy, which makes them perfect for my lifestyle.
Take a look at them for yourself!
Best Ways to Simulate your Mind After The Kids Go To Bed
Read a Book: Head to your local library or look through Amazon for the best sellers. Take your time to just sit down and read. Your brain thrives on this kind of stimulation and it’s fun to get lots in new stories.
Play Words With Friends 2: Play against your friends, or the computer. This is something I’ve recently taken a liking to. It’s such a challenge coming up with words to make and it helps me get creative and learn new words. It’s the perfect way to exercise your brain if you don’t have much time to yourself, and it’s nice because you can bring it along with you wherever you go because it’s an app!
Write in a Journal: Writing down things that happened that day can really stimulate your mind as well. Looking back and thinking about the things you accomplished or the things you need to do can help you strengthen your memory as well.
Stretch Out: Turn on some quiet music, and just start stretching. While you’re stretching think about all the things you have completed that day, and then think of the things you would like to complete the next day.
Which of these would be your favorite? I love to read, but don’t always have a lot of time, so playing Words With Friends 2 has really become my go to. It’s nice because even though it’s simple, I feel like I’ve given my brain a great workout! And if you want, you can even play me on the game! Just look up my username Lyssadawson.
