I can’t believe that Hanna is going to be six months old later this month. When they say time flies faster with your second baby they aren’t lying. It’s amazing to me how quickly these days are passing by.
I remember with Hazel introducing solids was a huge milestone and I’m feeling the same way with Hanna. Both of my girls have been exclusive nursers, so the subject of first foods has always been sentimental, but I know how important it is.
We love introducing our girls to healthy foods first and teaching them the value of essential vitamins that are in the foods we eat. Incorporating a healthy diet to your child’s life is important to do early on.
When babies are first born they have a natural store of iron in their bodies. These stores of iron usually deplete between 4-6 months of age, which is why it’s important to add a good source of Iron to your baby’s diet. Iron is good for your baby because it helps support learning abilities and strengthens their bodies.
With our girls, we use Gerber cereal, specifically rice cereal, to introduce them to the proper amount of Iron.
Gerber cereal is loaded with essential ingredients like Iron, Zinc, Calcium, Vitamin C, E, and six B Vitamins all perfect for healthy development in your baby. Their cereal is also non-GMO, has no artificial colors or flavors, and the packaging has no BPA.
Buy your Gerber cereal at your local Walmart and use this awesome Ibotta offer when you purchase your cereal.
What are your favorite first foods to feed your baby?!
