I know I’m not the only one who thinks making dinner is more of a chore than a delight. And maybe I would love it more if I didn’t have crying kids at my feet while I cooked. Cooking can take forever, seemingly so when I”m super hungry. You make the main dish, and then the sides. Then you have rice that you have to boil and make sure it’s soft enough, but not too soggy. That right there is one of my least favorite parts. Cooking the rice.
A few weeks back I was introduced to VeeTee. A microwaveable rice that is ready in 2 minutes. No hot water, no pans, no pouring the water out of the pan and spilling the rice everywhere. No. More. 2 minutes is all you need.
VeeTee has ten different flavors of rice. Each flavor has no artificial flavors or preservatives and they are all ready in two minutes. One of my new favorite dishes to make with VeeTee rice is a teriyaki rice bowl. It’s really simple to make and a much healthier option to some of the things I have been eating.
Anyways, enjoy the recipe below!
Teriyaki Rice Bowl
Ingredients:
VeeTee Rice Thai Jasmine
Chicken
Teriyaki Sauce
Brocolli
Instructions:
- Spray cooking pan with cooking oil, Heat the pan.
- Placed cut chicken in the pan.
- Add Teriyaki sauce to the pan, as you add it pour it over the chicken pieces. (I didn’t measure how much sauce I used, just eyed it.)
- Once the chicken is cooked through add cut broccoli, turn the burner heat down to low and cover the pan. Leave the pan covered for about 5-8 minutes.
- Poke holes in the VeeTee Rice packet and place it in the microwave for 2 minutes.
- Once the chicken is cooked and the broccoli is steamed remove it from the heat.
- Plate and serve the VeeTee Rice and cooked chicken and broccoli.
What will you serve your VeeTee rice with?! Check out the VeeTee website for more ideas and recipes.
I was provided with VeeTee rice, but all thoughts and opinions are my own.
