When I found out I was pregnant with Hanna one of my first thoughts was “man, I hope she is a good sleeper.” It’s no secret that Hazel wasn’t a good sleeper, I complained about it all the time. Getting her to sleep was the hardest thing to do, second to having her stay asleep. So, with our second baby, I knew I wanted to find a product that would help save my sleeping sanity.
I’ve been following DockATot for a long time, always ooh-ing and awwh-ing at their docking stations, but always wondering if it was actually worth it. After using it for just over two weeks I have to say I’m in love with it and let me share why.
Is it Worth the Investment?
Safe and Comfortable: All materials used to create the DockATot are hypoallergenic, breathable, and washable. The filling material is sourced from a supplier with non-toxic, hygienic properties. It also gives her a smooth transition from utero to world.
My Baby Sleeps: During the day I have Hanna sleep in the DockATot. We’re usually out in the family room playing or cooking or doing something that Hazel loves. So, it’s nice to have a spot for Hanna to sleep where we can keep an eye on her. She actually sleeps and my mind is at ease because I can see her, and I know she is safe.
Portable: It’s easy to move, lightweight and perfect for when you’re traveling on vacation. I’ve even seen pictures of people using the DockATot on an airplane. I mostly love that I can carry it from room to room without having to break a sweat. I don’t have to roll out a bassinet or have a bulky sleeping crib out in my family room.
Co-Sleeping: For those nights where you just need to get some sleep this is so perfect. Place it in a safe spot in your bed and your baby is within arms reach of you throughout the night. The bumpers of the DockATot make it safe to co-sleep because they provide a barrier between your and your tiny sleeper.
Tummy Time: We aren’t at the tummy time stage just yet, but I can’t help but think how convenient it will be to use this dock for supervised tummy time? Nice lightweight durable material propping her up and helping her strengthen her neck muscles.
How we DockATot
During Hazel’s Nap Time: When Hazel takes a nap I usually do some work on the computer. Right now it’s perfect because Hanna sleeps at the same time as Hazel. So, I place the DockATot on the couch right next to me making sure she is safe and that the whole dock is all the way on the couch. Then I’m able to get on the computer, catch up on my work, while also monitoring her the whole time.
When we Play: Let’s just say I take this DockATot with me everywhere, in the playroom, in the front room when we read books, and in my bedroom when we get ready for the day.
When we Learn: It’s easy to put the DockATot on the floor right by me when I’m working with Hazel on her letters and numbers. I’m able to see Hanna sleeping and focus my time on Hazel and helping her learn.
We truly love the DockATot and highly recommend it! Find us on Instagram and see how we use our DockATot!
I received this product compliments of DockATot, but all thoughts are my own.
