I’ve been a little lazy and tired lately, and so many things have just fallen to the wayside. All the projects that I’ve started, the floors that haven’t been mopped in weeks, dust that covers almost every piece of furniture I own, but I don’t really seem to care because we’ve got some pretty exciting news. We are expecting baby number 2. Hazel is really excited about it all, and she cannot wait to be a big sister. I cannot believe I’m going to have two girls. TWO. I don’t know what it’s like having a sister, and for some reason, I feel like I’m going to mess something up for these two -I’m crazy and I don’t know why I feel this way. But we are ever so excited for our new little person to join our family.
Hazel has been especially excited, telling me that she is going to give the baby hugs and kisses, how she is going to share her toys with the baby, and how she won’t be able to hold the baby because she will be too heavy. Won’t it be funny to see how she really feels when this baby gets here?! Either way, I know she is going to be the biggest helper ever, she is such a big girl already and quickly learned how to get mom’s chocolate from the pantry, so I imagine she won’t have any trouble helping me get to other important things.
If you have any tips on going from one child to two, please send them my way. I’m all about hearing the good and the bad so don’t hold anything back.
We are technically due January 1st, but I’m hoping to be induced a few days sooner, something about having a birthday on the first of the year just doesn’t seem right. Every store is closed, everyone is on some kind of diet or exercise program, what a horrible way to celebrate your birthday, am I right?!
Anyways, thought I would share our little baby announcement and let you know that I’m back to share more toddler tutorials and summer hacks that we’ve been doing to keep ourselves sane. Since we have to stay inside practically 24/7 -is it October yet?

July 26, 2017 at 5:14 amYou are such a good mama and will do great with TWO sweet girls! A great piece of advice that someone gave me when we were expecting Anya was to give more attention to Miley when Anya was tiny as Miley would be the one who would remember more. Not that we wouldn’t give attention to Anya, obviously, but sometimes it’s easy to let the new baby kind of take over! We tried to have special one-on-one time with Miley when we could! Hazel is such a natural with little ones. She’s going to be the best big sister!
