It seems like just yesterday when Brand and I brought Hazel home from the hospital. She was so small and fresh, she had dark hair and she mostly stayed asleep. She loved to cuddle up, be snuggled, and warm. And she loved the sound of her mom and dad’s voices. Back then days seemed long, I was so very tired and stressed and at times I was both things mixed -which is not a good mixture if you ask me. I was worried that I would never get this whole motherhood thing down and kept thinking that I was obviously doing something wrong.
Now, as she sleeps right next to me on the couch I look at her and see how much bigger she has gotten, she has grown so much. Now she loves to keep her eyes open, she loves to play with her toys, She has started playing with her feet and it’s so funny to see her try and get them into her mouth. She loves to talk, and blows bubbles and raspberries. She has the best smile when she wakes up -from ear to ear a gummy grin. She has become my little sidekick best girlfriend and I am so grateful for everything she is.
She is happy, healthy, loving, full of love, and is constantly making me laugh.
When she was first born I knew this whole thing would go by so fast. I knew that before long she would be big like she is. But, I’m loving every moment of this growing and learning she is doing.
