First let me just say how sweet Hazel looks in this headband. I absolutely love it. It’s stretchy and doesn’t leave a mark on her head -terms of a successful baby headband.
Watching: A myriad of things really. Hazel and I have been through almost the entire series of Gilmore Girls. We’ve watched Frasier, Survivor, Dancing With the Stars, The Bachelor, and I think that’s it. When I say we watched I really mean I watched… Hazel sleeps.
Crocheting:I really wanted to make Hazel a carseat blanket, but it has been difficult to find the time, especially since she wants to be held when she sleeps.
Anticipating: Her next shots, not looking forward to it, especially after those last ones.
Listening to: The sturrings of Hazel. As I type this she is supposed to be falling asleep. (:
Thinking about: All the housework that I have to do. I’m serious, I have laundry coming out my ears. Oh well.
Feeling thankful: My beautiful baby girl. That she is healthy, happy, and strong. I cannot stop talking about how lucky we are to have this sweet girl.
Wanting: Chocolate, refried beans….. that’s pretty much it. Only problem… they don’t seem to sit well with little Hazel, and really I don’t want to retry them.
Enjoying: Holding this girl in my arms. Every day as I sit and hold her I think about how crazy it is that I’m her mom. I have a baby, something I’ve longed for, for such a long time. Something I’ve always wanted to be. And then sometimes I start to cry and it’s like pull it together, she is going to wonder why you’re the baby.
Wondering: What this girl’s future holds. How many siblings will she have? Will she be the only girl? Is she going to absolutely hate me when she is a teenager?
Smelling: Fresh air and beautiful flowers. It’s hot here, already, but I love opening the back door and smelling the fresh cool -in the morning- air.
Wearing: My house dress. They often call these mo-mos, but I prefer the former. I mean it’s bedtime for heaven sake, I’m sure I’m not the only one who wears a house dress to bed. Plus, they have buttons down the front which make for wonderful night and early morning feedings.
Following: These new shows, dancing with the stars and the voice. I’ve never been into them before, but I think as a mom it is my duty to watch pointless reality tv… get me my teen mom.
Feeling: So very happy, I love this new life of mine, I love this baby, I love Brand, I love everything in my life. I know I’m not perfect at the whole mom thing, I’ve got a ways to go… especially with making a real routine and getting things done -other than holding a baby all day, but there’s a time and place for doing house chores.
