Obviously Hazel is very consistent at chewing on her hand… but in these pictures it makes it look like she is sucking on her thumb. I especially like the top picture because it’s like one of those I caught you moments where she realizes I’m looking. She’s been chewing on her hand for a few weeks now, she doesn’t have teeth so it’s nothing to really worry about. But yesterday I finally went and got her a teether -a pink one too -none of this gender neutral garbage when it comes to teethers. She seems to like it, but might be a bit confused because she kind of goes crazy about it… I think she’s thinking she needs to suck on it and it just-isn’t-working.
This weekend Hazel got a visit from my grandma, her great grandma, so that was really fun. Brand was home Saturday afternoon and evening, which gave us time to go shopping and have a fun barbecue with friends. Hazel is such a good little baby, she was a party animal and loved being right in all the action. Sure at the end -witching hour- she was fighting her nap, but what could I complain about because she had been so great the whole time.
Dancing with her might be a fun new tradition… Brand turned on the music on his phone and we danced with her. I don’t know if we are really bad dancers, or if she just thinks we are hilarious, but she was cracking up -maybe it’s because she was watching her daddy… she loves him. Her laugh is killer, it’s contagious, and makes you smile from ear to ear.
We love our Hazel girl.
Happy Tuesday!
