30 weeks
I’ll admit it, dressing a pregnant body can be difficult, especially when nothing in your closet seems to fit anymore. For me it’s been pretty nice because most of my tops still fit -I usually wear loose fitting tops- but my main problem has been with pants and skirts. So, let me fill you in on all the pregnancy staples that I use on an almost daily basis, staples that you can wear before, during, and after pregnancy.
Plain Colored Tees – These work for both summer and winter pregnancies because you can always add a cardigan over the top. But I love the plain colored tee because they go with any mixture of things, here are some examples of how you can style a plain colored tee 01., 02.
Belts – I’m pretty sure I’ve worn a belt of some sort with every outfit I’ve put on my blog. I feel like the belt accentuates your disappearing waist, and shows everyone else that yes, I’m pregnant. The belt is one of my favorite staples and it really adds to an outfit. Just scroll through these and you’ll see all the ways I used a belt.
Cardigans – Such a life saver for me. It gives you a whole other accessory to use and really seems to tie the whole outfit together. Go here, here, and here to check out how I wore the cardigans.
Blouses – Once again another dressy type of shirt. My favorite thing about a blouse is that it’s one of those pieces that you can definitely wear before and after you’re pregnant. See how I wore the blouse here.
Statement necklaces – These really spice up an outfit and bring variety to the look. Some of my favorites are here, here, and here. And you might as well wear them now because once you have your baby they are going to yank them right off your neck.
Maxi dress/skirt – I can no longer fit into any of my skirts, which is really a bummer because I have some great Christmas ones. But, I love the maxi dress because it’s stretchy and has fit me throughout my whole pregnancy. I don’t have any pictures of me in a maxi, so I guess I should get on that, but normally I pair it with a cardigan and a belt -wow, big surprise I know.
Maternity Jeans – I don’t know where I would be without my maternity jeans -full panel by the way. These things are amazing, they support my belly and they don’t have a button or a zipper, boy am I going to miss these bad boys. I wear jeans pretty much every day so it was extremely necessary for me to purchase these even if I can/should only wear them when I’m pregnant. Head here to see my maternity jean outfits.
Leggings – You’ve got to be crazy if you don’t wear leggings when you’re pregnant, even when you’re just at home laying around. I love leggings to wear under dresses or with long tees, they are absolutely perfect. Head here to see how I wore leggings.
