Another weekend fleeeew right by as I sat around and just watched. Last week Brand had his quarterly break from school and so he got a little bit of r and r. Unfortunately I had work and school so we didn’t spend a whole lot of time together, but at least I got to see him quite a bit! It’s one of the things I look forward to, some day when I become a mom. Those breaks that I get to enjoy and not have a care in the world about my own school or work schedule.
Anyways, this weekend in Arizona was awesome. It rained practically all day Saturday and it was the best! I got to thinking about the whole thing and I thought about how rain is nice in bits, but when you have to live every day in a cloudy droll it would just get old and depressing. I guess that’s why I love Arizona so much.
This weekend Brand and I went down to volunteer at the humane society, just like the old times. (please forgive the over sized vein going down the middle of my forehead, this appeared a few weeks ago and I want it to do away…. gross!) It was so fun to be able to see the people and remember how much I love that campus, but it’s so-far-away! Anyways it was a total blast and I loved every bit of it.
Also, what kind of weekend would it be if I didn’t make cookies? My mom got me this super awesome cookie scoop and it will forever change my cookie baking experience. You mean I don’t have to use my hands to roll them into a ball?! -Seriously! Plus it makes my cookies look like ice cream. Yum!
I also took a chance and crocheted a nursing necklace. A nursing necklace is a necklace that moms wear when they nurse to keep their baby from scratching at them, pulling their hair, and pulling at their mouth or what ever else. It keeps them distracted. It also helps develop touch and fine motor skills. I love it. And because I don’t have a baby, I thought it would be fun to make and sell in my etsy shop! If you have any color preferences or ideas let me know! Special orders accepted (:
Anyways, that’s it for my weekend. One of those good wholesome weekends. And we’ve made it through Monday so I can now feel less annoyed about this week.
How was your weekend?! Link up and let me know!
