This is my first official post of the New Year! Yay 2014. I’m so excited for what this year has in store for me and Brand. I love new years because it always feels like a fresh start, a sort of new outlook, a clean slate. I know how important it is to realize that we don’t have to wait for a new year to start new, it’s our option to choose. Last year was the very first year that I made new years resolutions, and they weren’t just any resolutions I made sure that they were the realistic kind. Measurable, but not too extensive, I think for the most part I just wanted something to look back on at the end of the year and see what goals I had for myself, see what I literally accomplished.
A lot can change in a year, as you may know and can see from my 2013 year in review, but I also think about these so called changes and how they strengthen us and change us. Our personalities, our outlook on life, our overall experiences. Each year we change, we grow older, smarter, more experienced, a lot of these changes take place mentally and I like growing mentally. I like knowing that I am gaining knowledge from these trials and changes.
So I guess this is why I like new years.
