elbow patches and anne shirley

I absolutely love this sweater. I love the elbow patches, they bring me back the the 20’s and I can’t get over how stylish everyone was back then.  Then they reminded me of the 90’s, I was watching Frasier the other day and he had a sports jacket on with these same elbow patches-well, not the exact same but I think you understand.  They make me feel robust and sophisticated, I’d like to think that Anne Shirley would have worn them, had she been properly introduced.  Hence the braid I’m sporting. Although I can never get the kind of poof she gets in her hair.   Her and I are kindred spirits, I think. Except I didn’t have to dye my hair to change it from red, I grew out of it.

Anyways, it’s Friday.  This week flew by just like last week.  I’ve been going through old posts about school and I’ve seen a theme. The semesters go by so quick, and that makes me happy.  Also, the weather here in Arizona has been a bit on the warm side. We got up to 80 degrees this week and I wasn’t at all thrilled. I’m hoping for some cooler temperatures, the kind where when you walk outside and you can see your breath.  I don’t however wish for snow. I don’t know how you other bloggers do it, that thing they call snow. I’ll just stay here and enjoy my Arizona.
