Sorry for the poor quality photo, we were running late and I couldn’t take the pictures outside. I’ll try and get some new ones up this week.
Anyway, lets talk designer.
Is it worth buying?
Why is it so expensive?
Am I really going to wear it that much?
This gingham shirt is J.Crew and
I bought it a few months ago online.
I bought it as a cudos to me for selling my goal product on Etsy.
(I’ve never bought J.Crew before, and I’ve also never bought clothing online.)
After I purchased the shirt I stalked it as it traveled to my apartment, when it finally arrived I was in heaven.
The packaging was just perfect and so was the shirt.
I put it on right away and to my surprise I ordered the perfect size.
I’ve worn the shirt countless times and it has become a go-to piece in my wardrobe.
I’ve always been skeptical about buying designer clothes.
I mean, spending over 20$ for a shirt is hard enough, but spending over 50$ it’s just vomit worthy.
(okay, I’m cheap!)
But, after purchasing this gingham button up and realizing that the colors don’t fade after three washes, I’ve come to like designer.
I’m not saying I’m going to replace everything in my closet with designer clothes, I’m just saying sometimes I will splurge.
I’m also saying that when there is an extremely versatile piece of clothing, like the gingham button up, I might be a little bit more tempted to purchase it.
I’ve also had a similar experience with a skirt from The Limited.
When I was 16 I got a gift card to The Limited and purchased the best black skirt.
Long story short, I still have the skirt and it’s in great condition.
In fact, it still is my favorite skirt ever!
I am on a pretty strict budget, like many of you I’m sure, so when it comes down to purchasing that perfect designer piece it can be a tough decision.
Do I want to buy this shirt or do I want to be able to eat this week?
TIP: Buy when things go on clearance!
This gingham shirt was originally 80$.
On clearance it was 50$ with and extra 15% off.

If you search online you can find coupon codes for free shipping as well.
And remember, the quality is good so that’s why they are more expensive.
