I think I have an issue. I really like to crochet.
I started crocheting about 4 years ago and it has become my therapy ever since… literally.
Whenever I’ve had a bad day or when I just need to relax I grab some yarn and crochet away.
To me there is nothing better than being creative and making something for someone.
The best part is seeing the end result and turning something that may seem useless into a blanket or a beanie, it’s the best!
The projects that I’ve pictured above are some of my favorite projects. In fact, I liked the first project (the crochet wreath) so much that I’ve made 3 of them! For Fall, Christmas and year round decor of course! When we moved into our new apartment I had this blank wall that I never knew how to decorate, until I came across this wreath and then everything else fell into place!
I’ve always wanted to make a granny square blanket, and thought this pillow would help me see if I want to have a go at it or not. I have to say this granny square pillow took me forever to finish, I don’t know if it was because I was always distracted with school work or if I had so many colors to use that I didn’t know where to start. I am so proud of the way it turned out! I seriously love it!
Now the last picture is my all time favorite afghan. I always remember going to my great grandma’s house and seeing her beautiful afghans, *sigh. I fell in love with the Catherine Wheel stitch pattern on someone’s blog (shame on me I don’t remember who) and I knew I just had to make it. It took me a whole month straight to complete, I worked on it every day for at least an hour, but it was so worth it! It’s about 5f8i by 5f and it’s the most comfy blanket ever. I mostly use it for decoration because I’m scared to ‘hurt’ it and when I use it I make sure that my clothes are nice and clean. You can say that I’m a little ocd with it, haha!
