Last night Brand and I had our very own picnic in our living room. I made dinner, which turned out to be a fail because the chicken in the chicken alfredo was barfo-disgusto, well at least I didn’t like it. Brand said he thought it was good, I think he was just being a sweetie-pie.
But, dinner got me to thinking about the little things in life that we don’t always think about or appreciate.
The little things I’m talking about are happiness, laughing till your stomach hurts, sunbeams through trees, the cry of a new baby, rushing waves, sounds of the ocean, laughter of a child, ear to ear smiles, the excitement your dog gets when she greets you as you walk through the door, the feel of cool air on your face, knowing that tomorrow you don’t have any kind of plans, impromptu ice cream runs at midnight, and reading in the park.
You can bet that I enjoy the little things, and that I want to appreciate them more.
